Description
The statue of Venus arming Cupid is located in a recess at the east end of the upper south terrace of Waddesdon Manor grounds. This mid-18th century statue, of French origin, is falsely signed "fec. Girardon 1668". It is carved from marble and depicts a seated figure of Venus preparing young Cupid with a bow and arrows. The statue is set on a 19th-century marble pedestal featuring shaped panels of pink marble.
