Description
The six terms around the Fountain of Triton and Nereids are early to mid-18th century half-figures, likely of French or Italian origin, set on later pedestals. They are made of carved marble. To the south of the fountain, the term represents Syrinx, a woman being transformed into reeds. To the east is a figure of Pan, depicted with goat-skin, a staff, and pan-pipes. The figures to the northwest of the fountain represent the four seasons, characterized by Flora, Ceres, Bacchus, and Saturn.
