Description

This is a cottage located at 1 Fort End, dating from the 17th century but incorporating earlier materials. It is constructed of witchert, which is colourwashed and rendered, with a rubblestone plinth. The cottage has a thatched roof and consists of one storey with an attic, featuring two bays. The windows and doors are modern. Inside, the cottage has two bays, with the western bay being older and part of a late medieval house that included the adjacent three bays of No. 5.
