Description
No. 2 Bell Walk is a cottage dating from the 18th century, featuring a later range added to the rear left. The cottage is constructed of brightly painted brick and timber framing with brick infill at the rear, topped with a creosoted tiled roof and a central chimney stack. It is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays. The ground floor has 2-light barred casement windows with segmental heads, while the first floor features similar windows in gabled dormers. The entrance is located in the left gable and is adorned with a gipsy-style painted wooden porch. Attached at an angle to the left is a two-storey bay that is timber framed with painted brick infill, which includes garage doors for hayloft entry above. To the north, there is a 19th-century range made of colourwashed brick, featuring dentilled eaves and tiled roofs. This range is two storeys high with four bays, and it has 3-light windows with barred wooden casements and segmental heads on the ground floor, a similar window with a flat head on the first floor left, and leaded windows in the remainder.
