Description
The Lions of Bledlow is a public house that dates from the 17th to early 18th century, with a date of 1654 noted on the brickwork. It features whitewashed brick and has a central bay that shows remnants of a first-floor band course. The building has an old tiled roof with brick chimneys positioned to the left and right of the center. It is one storey high with an attic and consists of five bays, although the right bay is blank and is a later addition.
The three bays on the left have paired barred wooden casements set in hipped eaves-line dormers. On the ground floor, there are irregular wooden casements, including an oriel window on the left and a canted bay window in the center. A flush-panelled door is located in a gabled porch between the left bays, with a boarded door to the right of the center and another door in a gabled porch between the right bays. There is a small 20th-century whitewashed brick extension to the left, as well as a large 20th-century block and other extensions at the rear.
