Description

The statue of Apollo triumphant over the python is located approximately 40 metres north of Waddesdon Manor. It dates from around 1699 and is attributed to Jean Raon, originally created for Versailles. The statue is made of carved marble and depicts a nude figure of Apollo, who is shown with a draped cloak, a bow, and a quiver of arrows, standing atop the python. The statue is set on a 19th-century stone base.
