Description
Holt's House, formerly known as Oakcroft Cottage, is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century. The walls are rebuilt in red brick, featuring some vertical strips of vitreous brick. It has an old tile roof and a 17th-century chimney with grouped shafts of thin brick and a 'V' pilaster between the right bays. The house has one storey and an attic, comprising three bays. The ground floor includes two 3-light and one single light wooden casement windows from the 20th century, while the gabled eaves-line dormers above have 2-light windows. There is a 20th-century door in the left bay, which is a 2-panel door with a timber lintel situated between the right bays. To the left, there is a lean-to structure from the 19th to 20th centuries, and to the right, a garage with a small 19th-century block attached to the rear.
