Description
Old Arngrove Farm is a house with a range of outbuildings attached to the right, dating from the 17th century and altered in the 19th century. The house is L-shaped, with the main wing featuring some timber framing but mostly rebuilt in brick during the early to mid-19th century. The gabled bay that projects to the front of the right bay is made of thin brick. There is a small timber-framed bay with brick infill attached to the right end. The building has old tile roofs and a chimney that is partly made of thin brick, located between the left bays. It is one storey and has an attic, with three main bays. The ground floor has three-light wooden casements with segmental heads, while the attic features similar two-light windows in the gabled bay and another in the central gabled dormer. There is a door and a lean-to porch situated between the left bays, and a 19th-century extension at the rear. Attached to the projecting bay is a U-shaped range of tiled brick outbuildings, partly constructed of thin brick, which forms the right side of the yard in front of the house.
