Description
The Windmill is a tower mill that has been converted into a house. It was built between 1796 and 1804 and underwent alterations in the 20th century. The structure features a tall, tapering polygonal tower made of brick, which is partly covered in cement render. The roof has an ogee-shaped dome that is covered with aluminium, and there is a similarly shaped dormer above a projecting, balustraded platform. The building has irregular 2-light casements and a door, both of which have segmental arches. The sails were removed in 1904 when an engine was installed, and the mill ceased working in 1926. It was converted into a house in 1931, with further alterations to the roof in 1947.
