Description

Milthorpe is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is timber framed and has been refaced in brick. The building features an old tile roof with flanking chimneys and a painted dentil cornice. It is two storeys high, with a brick band at the first floor. On the first floor, there are two wide 4-pane sash windows set in reveals, each with painted lintels. The ground floor has a central six-panel door, with the upper two panels being glazed. This door is framed by an architrave with a flat wood on cut brackets. On either side of the door, there are three-light casements with cambered arches, one of which has leaded glazing.
