Description

The entrance lodge and gates to Langley Park date from the 18th century. The lodge is octagonal and has plaster rendering on its exterior, with a slate roof and a central octagonal chimney. It is a single storey building with quoins. A prominent string course with moulded panels runs along the upper walls. An arched recess contains a lion passant crest within its tympanum. The entrance is framed by a moulded surround with a pediment above it. The lodge features sash windows with glazing bars, all set within moulded frames. Simple wrought iron quadrant railings and gates complete the entrance.
