Description
Cedar Lodge is an early 19th-century building that has been converted from a lodge into a house. It is constructed of uncoursed knapped flint with stone quoins and dressings. The building features a steep hipped red tile roof adorned with toothed tiles and has a central red brick chimney. There is a small flat-roofed extension at the rear.
This single-storey, small rectangular gate-lodge faces east at the beginning of the drive leading to Langley Lodge. The front is symmetrical, with one window on each side of a central door. The windows are square-headed, two-light casements with moulded wooden frames, pointed heads for each light, and sunk spandrels. The doorway is 4-centred arched, featuring a carved keystone, and has a battened door set in a pointed moulded frame. There is also one matching window at each end of the building.
