Description
Priory Farmhouse is a house that underwent a refronting in the 18th century, although it is based on an older building. The exterior features irregular vitreous brick with red dressings, a plinth, a first-floor band course, and moulded brick eaves. It has an old tile roof with brick coped gables and flanking brick chimneys, one of which has two square shafts set diagonally. The building is T-shaped, has two storeys and an attic, and consists of five bays. The windows are marginally glazed sash windows, with those on the ground floor having cambered brick heads. There are two hipped dormers featuring 19th-century wooden casements. The central entrance is a 19th-century half-glazed door with a rectangular fanlight and a flat hood supported by cut brackets. To the left, there is a lower extension that includes a 19th-century casement, a hayloft door in a gabled semi-dormer above, and a blocked dovecote in the gable.
