Description

The wall at the front of the churchyard along Main Street is a late 19th-century structure. It is built from coursed lime and ironstone rubble, featuring ironstone dressings. The wall has a chamfered plinth and battlements with roll moulding along the ridge of the pitched coping. There are two embrasures that include shallow projecting moulded basins. To the east, there is a small gate with square-plan piers topped with pyramidal copings, leading to modern wrought iron gates. This wall is included for its group value.
