Description

Elizabeth Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th century to the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. The front of the cottage is faced with brick, while the right gable is whitewashed brick. It has a half-hipped thatched roof and brick chimneys on both sides. The cottage is one storey and attic, with one and a half bays. The ground floor has barred wooden casements, with a three-light window in the centre and a two-light window to the right, both set in segmental heads. A boarded door is located to the left, sheltered by a rustic porch. The right gable has two paired barred wooden casements in the attic. A whitewashed brick extension with a tiled lean-to roof is attached to the right, and incorporates a similar three-light casement window. Inside, there is a stop-chamfered spine beam with run-out stops.
