Description
Muxwell Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century that was restored in the 20th century. It is timber framed with brick infill, some of which is patterned, and features a thatched roof that is half-hipped on the left side. A thin brick chimney stack is located between the right-hand bays. The house has two storeys and an attic, with three main bays on the west side that contain 4-light leaded casements, and a 3-light leaded casement in the upper left. The lobby entry includes a 20th-century timber framed and thatched porch, with a 2-light leaded casement above it, and a 19th to 20th-century jettied gable to the attic that has a small 3-light leaded window. The rear of the house features an outshot to the left-hand bays with paired leaded casements under thatch on the first floor and attic. There is a 19th-century extension at right angles to the rear right. The south gable wall has an original oak window with moulded and plain diagonal mullions on the ground floor to the right.
