Description
The Fernery is a small garden pavilion built in the mid-18th century. It features ironstone ashlar on the west and south walls, designed in a Gothick style. The structure has a cornice made of pointed arches, a pierced quatrefoil parapet with ball finials at the corners, and corner piers adorned with trefoil-headed panels. The west side includes a door flanked by windows, all of which have arched heads set in moulded surrounds with ogee drip moulds and finials. The windows are sash style with Y-traceried glazing bars. The half-glazed door has trefoil-headed panels and a glazed quatrefoil at the top. There is a similar door on the south side, while the north wall is made of brick.
