Description

The bridge at the south end of the lake is a mid-18th century structure made of stone on the north side facing Claydon House, with a brick parapet featuring English bond brickwork on the south side. It has a single round arch and square section ashlar piers at the ends of the parapet. This bridge was likely built or integrated into the park landscape designed by James Sanderson between 1763 and 1776 for Ralph, the 2nd Earl Verney.
