Description

Coldharbour Farmhouse and the attached outbuilding date from the 17th century. The farmhouse is timber-framed and cased in red brick, with alterations made over time. It features an old tiled roof and a large brick stack at the center. The building has two storeys, with the upper storey showcasing modern oak timbering that aligns with the original structure, which remains intact inside. There are two modern leaded casements on each floor, and a modern tiled porch on the right. A lean-to addition is present on the right-hand gable wall, with exposed timber framing above it. A modern rear wing has also been added.

The attached outbuilding to the left is constructed of 18th-century brick and has an old tiled roof, hipped over the part nearest to the house, with dentil eaves and a weather vane. Inside the farmhouse, the ground floor right-hand room features moulded beams and a cornice, while both ground floor rooms have inglenook fireplaces. The first floor reveals exposed timber framing on the front wall, including jowled posts and curved braces. The original roof timbers, complete with curved windbraces, are still visible, and there is evidence of an original timber window in the east gable.
