Description

Nos. 22-24 on Horn Street are a pair of houses dating from the mid-18th century, with an extension added in 1829, as indicated by the blue brick date on the right gable stack. The houses feature chequer brick construction with red brick dressings, moulded brick eaves, and gauged brick heads above the ground floor windows. They have an old tile roof and four brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys tall and consist of four bays, with triple barred sash windows. There are two early 19th-century six-panel doors, each with top lights, set in wooden surrounds that have cornice hoods supported by curved brackets with notched ends. The central door has a blind panel above it, while the second door is located between the right-hand bays.
