Description

The Crooked Billet is a public house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made later. The building has a timber frame with brick infill to the right gable, and a 19th-century brick front featuring toothed eaves. The roof is slate-covered, with brick stacks on the gables. It is two storeys high and has four bays. The windows are 4-pane sashes; those on the ground floor have whitewashed voussoir heads and keyblocks. The first floor of the second bay is blank. A 20th-century door is located in the third bay, topped with a cornice hood supported on cut brackets. The roof extends over a carriage entry on the left, featuring weatherboarding and board doors.
