Description

Farthings is a cottage dating from the 17th century that has been altered over time. It features a timber frame with brick infill visible on the right-hand gable, while the front is constructed of 19th-century brick. The building has a slate roof that it shares with the adjacent No. 6. It stands two storeys high and consists of one bay. On the ground floor, there are two 20th-century paired wooden casements with segmental heads. The first floor has a 19th-century three-light wooden casement. To the left, there is a ledged board door with a segmental head. The cottage has been extended at the rear, which includes timber studding, brick, and an altered roof pitch.
