Description

Number 24 Castle Street is a house and shop that has been converted into a restaurant and store. It dates from the 18th century and was refronted in the mid-19th century, with further alterations made in the 20th century. The building is stuccoed over brick and features hipped plain-tile roofs with brick stacks at each end. It has a double-depth plan. The ground floor has a 20th-century frontage, while the first and second floors are adorned with 19th-century sash windows that have moulded, rendered surrounds. The exterior also includes rusticated quoins, sills, bands, a moulded cornice, and a plain coped parapet.
