Description
The Old Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, which has been altered and extended in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with whitewashed roughcast infill and a thatched roof that is half-hipped to the left, with a brick chimney situated between the left bays. The building is 1½ storeys high and consists of three bays. The windows are irregular 20th-century leaded casements, with two in the thatch on the left bays, each containing two lights. To the left, there is a 20th-century single-storey extension made of whitewashed render, partly half-timbered, with a pantile roof. This extension has similar windows and a 20th-century door to the right. Additionally, there is a 20th-century concrete arch in an Egyptian style attached to the front right corner of the house. Inside, the cottage features chamfered spine beams and two winder staircases aligned with the chimney.
