Description
The Olde Power House is an 18th-century house located on Main Street in Adstock. It features a timber frame with slight scantling, diagonal braces, and whitewashed brick infill. The roof is thatched and half-hipped to the left, with brick stacks on the gables and to the right of the center. The house is one-and-a-half storeys tall and has four irregular bays, with the right-hand bay projecting and gabled towards the street, creating an L-plan. There is a small square projection in the angle. The windows are irregular wooden casements, with leaded glass in the second bay from the left, which also has an upper window beneath a thatch eyebrow. A boarded door is located in the left-hand bay.
