Description
The Haven, Rose Cottage, and Linden Lea are a row of three small houses dating from the 17th to 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and later. The Haven, located on the left, features a timber frame with brick infill, while the other houses have been variously rebuilt in brick, with a rubble stone plinth. They have thatched roofs and brick chimneys. The layout is T-shaped, with a short wing at the center of the rear. The houses are 1½ to 2 storeys tall and consist of four irregular bays. The ground floor has irregular 20th-century barred wooden casements, with similar 2-light casements located below the eaves in the right bays. The left bays feature upper windows in thatch, including a 3-light leaded casement on the left and a 20th-century 2-light metal casement on the other. The ground floor openings in the right bays have segmental heads. There is a 19th-century brick extension to the left with a slate roof, and a single-storey extension to the right made of brick and stone, also with a thatched roof.
