Description
The Bell is a public house dating from the early 17th century, with alterations. It features a timber frame with diagonal braces and thin brick infill, primarily in a herringbone pattern, along with a coursed rubble stone plinth. The building has an old tile roof and a central chimney made of thin brick, which is adorned with double 'V' pilasters at the front and single ones on the sides. It stands two storeys high with two bays and a lobby entry. The ground floor has 20th-century three-light barred metal casements, while the first floor has three-light wooden casements with 20th-century glazing in hipped eaves-line dormers. The entrance is through a central 20th-century half-timbered and gabled porch. There are small flanking rendered extensions and a lower later range at right angles to the rear.
