Description
Stag House is a house that was formerly a public house, built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of flint with panels of blue header brick and features patterns in red brick. The building has Denner Hill stone quoins, boxed eaves, and a hipped slate roof, with flanking brick chimneys that have offset heads. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. There is a narrow band course just below the first floor sill level. The windows are paired barred wooden casements, with those on the ground floor having segmental heads; the right window is in an altered opening. The central door has a semi-circular radiating fanlight and is set within a 20th-century lean-to glazed porch that has a slate roof. To the left, there is a 20th-century garage. A smaller block set back to the right features two bays of similar casements in bonded brick surrounds, with a central 20th-century glazed door.
