Description

Knives Farmhouse is probably a 17th-century building, later encased in brick during the 18th century, with subsequent alterations and extensions. The farmhouse is constructed of brick in a chequer pattern, with a tiled roof and a large brick stack located opposite the front door. It is two storeys high with an attic. Visible brick floor bands are a feature of the front elevation, which has been painted. A lean-to porch is centrally positioned. The front elevation has a 3-light modern casement window on each side. The east elevation has a 19th-century attic with a moulded cornice and pediment above, as well as two arched casement windows. A modern rear wing has been added.
