Description

The Village Hall, dated 1897, was designed by W. Taylor and Son of Bierton for Ferdinand de Rothschild. It is constructed of red brick with pebble-dashed sections above a moulded first-floor string and features a half-timbered gable, along with some stone dressings. The building has tiled roofs and brick chimneys that have moulded stone neckings and caps.

It consists of one storey and an attic. The gable facing the street includes two 2-light stone mullion windows on the ground floor, which flank a brick porch with a hipped roof. The porch features a wide semi-circular arch made of rubbed orange brick, low cast iron scroll gates, and a fine wrought iron lamp bracket above. The upper floor has two 3-light leaded windows situated between three concrete cartouches that display the initials "FR" and a device of crossed arrows. There is also a wrought iron weathervane that is initialled "FR."

To the left of the main gable, there is a stone mullion bay window that projects from the left side and has a half-timbered overhanging gable. The right side of the building features two dormer windows; the left dormer is gabled with a central arched light, while the central dormer is a thermal window. The roof is topped with a wooden louvre that has a moulded cornice and an ogee lead roof.
