Description

The Sun Hotel, originally the Sun Inn, is an early 18th-century public house and hotel. It has been altered since its original construction. The exterior is colourwashed render with a hipped roof covered in old tiles. A small chimney constructed of thin brick is located between the two left bays near the front of the building. The building is two storeys high and comprises four bays, with the two bays on the left being lower and projecting forward. It features irregular sash windows; the upper right window has six panes, and a 19th-century canted bay window sits below it. A porch with a hipped slate roof is situated at the angle of the projection. A later block to the rear, along Windmill Street, has weatherboarding on its upper storey.
