Description

The Gatehouse is a late 17th and 18th century house. It has a timber frame with diagonal bracing and whitewashed brick infill. The roof is covered with old tiles, and a large external chimney of whitewashed brick is located on the left side. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. Windows are 20th-century leaded casements, with a single window on the first floor and paired windows on the ground floor. A 20th-century half-timbered porch is centrally located and features leaded lights on either side of the door. A 20th-century wing, rendered with whitewashed surfaces and half-timbering in the gables, is attached to the rear right-hand corner.
