Description

Church Cottage is a small house built around 1870-1880, likely designed by George Devey. The ground floor is constructed of brick, while the first floor is roughcast and jettied, supported by a moulded wooden bressumer. The house features a tiled roof with a brick chimney on the left, which has 'V' pilasters and an offset head, along with moulded bargeboards. It is 1 ½ storeys tall and consists of 2 bays. The windows are barred 4-light wooden casements with moulded mullions, with two on the ground floor and one on the first floor to the left. There is a central boarded door with a painted cast iron boot-scraper to the right. The ground floor openings have shallow triangular relieving arches, and the right side also has a jettied gable.
