Description
Laplands Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in 1769, as indicated by a stone tablet. The rear wing features a timber frame with brick infill, while the front range is covered in irregularly chequered brick, complete with a moulded plinth, a plain band course, and modillion eaves. The roof is made of old tiles and has a large square brick chimney located between the right bays, with another chimney on the left. The building has a T-plan layout, is one storey high with an attic, and consists of three bays. The windows are leaded casements, which were renewed in 1984. The ground floor windows have segmental heads, while the attic windows are located in gabled eaves-line dormers. There is a three-light window in the centre of the ground floor, with the other windows being two-light. The doors, which are from the 20th century, are situated between the left bays and to the right, with the former featuring a 20th-century flat wooden hood.
