Description
Weavers' Cottage is a small house dating from the late 17th to 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of brick on a rubble stone plinth and features a thatched roof with flanking brick chimneys, one of which is made from thin brick. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has two bays. The ground floor has paired barred wooden casements with segmental heads, while the upper right window is set into the thatch, and the upper left has an eyebrow thatch. There is a 20th-century door located to the right of center within a gabled timber and lattice porch. The slightly lower bay to the left, which was formerly an outbuilding, has a slight timber frame with whitewashed render infill, some weatherboarding in the gable, and a 20th-century casement window at the front. Inside, the cottage retains its original roof and trusses, a chamfered spine beam in the left bay, and a chamfered fireplace lintel.
