Description

The canal lock on the Aylesbury branch of the Grand Union Canal is dated 1860, but it likely has an earlier origin. It features brick retaining walls, which include some old bullnosed bricks and stone copings, as well as later inset engineering brick copings. The lock gates and machinery have been renewed.
