Description

This is a bridge located 40 metres southeast of Bridge Lodge in Eythrope Park, dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of dressed stone and features a wide segmental arch with rusticated voussoirs. A carved stone mask head is present at the keyblock, and there is no parapet. The bridge was likely built for Sir William Stanhope as a decorative feature in the landscape park of the former Eythrope House.
