Description

A row of three cottages dated from the mid-to-late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The cottages are constructed from uncoursed limestone rubble, with a front wall of red brick in a Flemish bond, featuring flared headers. Numbers 50 and 51 have been painted. They have plain-tile roofs and brick ridge and end stacks. Each cottage has a two-unit plan. The front facade has a 6-window arrangement over two storeys. The cottages now have 20th-century doors with flat-arched heads, and 3-light casement windows with flat-arched heads on both the ground and first floors. A rendered plinth runs along the base. There are 20th-century two-storey extensions to the rear. The roofs step down the street from north to south.
