Description

Longacres is a house dating from the 17th and early 18th centuries, with alterations from the 19th century and extensions to the rear in the 19th and 20th centuries. The original front range is timber-framed with whitewashed render infill, an old tile roof, and an external chimney rendered and whitewashed on the left side. The house has two storeys and two bays, featuring 19th-century two-light Gothick casements. Each light has glazing bars forming a pointed arch, with leaded glazing. There’s a similar single-light window in the left bay. A central flush-panelled door is covered by a flat, leaded hood supported by wooden columns, with the sides infilled to create a porch. An outshut is attached to the rear of the left bay. A 19th-century wing extends to the rear of the right bay and was extended and ornamented with half-timbering around 1980.
