Description
The wall to the roadside at Ponders, which connects South View Lodge, Los Altos, and the walled garden, dates from the 18th to 19th century and is constructed of red brick, with some sections buttressed. It features a pier inscribed with "JC 1827 TC 1829" and serves as a Parish Boundary Marker, with a slate that reads "Hedgerley Parish" and "Upton Parish." This wall is part of the estate of Bulstrode Park. There are entrances to South View Lodge and Los Altos that break the continuity of the roadside wall. The garden wall is primarily from the 18th century and includes a pair of piers at a blocked entrance, which are topped with finely carved stone urns.
