Description
Littlelands is a building that dates from the early 17th century, with an addition from 1687 and later modifications. It is constructed of red brick with floorbands and has an old tile roof. The northwest block is from the early 17th century and features timber framing that has been cased in 18th-century brick. The southeast wing, dated 1687, is made of black bricks on the gable and has two windows on each floor; the left-hand windows are blocked while the right-hand ones are double-hung sashes. The windows are topped with cambered brick arches, and there is a small two-light casement in the attic. A large offset stack is located on the right flank of the building. The entrance features a gabled two-storey porch with a six-panel door and a bricked rear hood, along with a two-light casement above a modern dormer on the right. Inside, timber framing is visible in the early 17th-century section of the building.
