Description

Beamond End Farmhouse is an early 17th century house that features a timber frame and was extended in brick with tile-hanging around 1700. The building is L-shaped and consists of three bays from the early 17th century, with the right-hand bay altered and extended to create a four-bay east front. It has a hipped old tile roof with end wall stacks on the east range. The east range is two stories tall, with a 19th-century brick-cased ground floor and 19th-century sash windows. The first floor is tile-hung and has four original leaded cross windows. The rear range is one and a half stories, showcasing exposed timbers on the sides and rear, and has a brick-clad south front with casement windows. Inside, there are queen strut roof trusses with wind-braces, and at the rear, in the angle, there is an 18th-century staircase block.
