Description

Holmer Ridings is a house constructed around 1728, likely built as a shooting lodge. It is a three-bay, two-storey building raised over a half-basement. The construction is predominantly flint with brick dressings. The roof is hipped and covered in old tiles, featuring a large central stack. Windows are box sashes, with some featuring slender glazing bars from the late 18th century. The rear elevation includes semi-circular headed French doors opening onto the ground floor. The front has a prominent, large, central projecting porch with a coped parapet and a stone door surround consisting of a pediment, half-columns, and Ionic capitals.
