Description
Upper Wick Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century, which was partially rebuilt and extended in the early 19th century. It features a combination of timber-framing and brick, topped with a tile roof, and has an irregular plan. The south front is made of brick and consists of two main bays that have sashed windows with glazing bars; the left-hand bay on the ground floor has a tripartite window. In the right-hand bay, there is a doorway framed by a timber pilaster doorcase with a cornice. To the right, there is a lower third bay that has a casement window on the ground floor and a sashed window above. The left-hand bays have two parallel roofs that are hipped at the front. There are chimneys located to the left and right, with an additional chimney to the right of the second bay. The west wall displays exposed timber-framing in irregular square panels and features a gabled stair turret to the right, which is set on a brick base.
