Description
Stanfield House is a house built around 1800, with extensions added in the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond and has a slate roof. The building is two storeys high and features five bays. The windows have gauged brick heads, except for those in the two left-hand bays, which appear to be a later addition indicated by a straight joint. The ground floor windows are sashed without glazing bars, while the first floor windows include glazing bars. The entrance features a doorway with an elliptical fanlight above a fluted frieze adorned with paterae, supported by Tuscan columns. A timber porch with an entablature is held up by fluted columns with Greek Doric capitals. There is a brick dentil course at the eaves and gable parapets, with chimneys located on the gables and to the left of the doorway. At the rear, there is a timber bow window with sashes that include glazing bars.
