Description
No. 72 on Aylesbury Road is a 17th-century cottage located next to No. 70. It has been altered and is likely timber framed, with an exterior finished in painted roughcast. The cottage features an old tiled roof and a large central brick chimney stack that has a heavily corbelled head. There are two triangular-shaped eaves dormers with hipped gables. The building is one storey with an attic, and it includes a square bay window with a tiled lean-to roof on the right side, a three-light wood casement window on the left, and a small window in between, which is probably part of the original door. The entrance has been moved to the side and includes an open porch, with later additions at the rear.
