Description
Dairy Cottage is a cottage associated with the dairy for the Waddesdon Estate, built around 1880-1890, likely by W. Taylor of Bierton for Ferdinand de Rothschild. The cottage features a red brick ground floor, half-timbered gables, and tile-hanging at the rear. It has tiled roofs and two brick chimneys with arched panels.
The building is picturesque, with one and a half storeys and two irregular bays. The north side has a central projection that includes a two-storey canted bay window and an overhanging gable. To the right, there is a lean-to porch, while to the left, a verandah with turned wooden balusters and a lean-to roof can be found. The windows are wooden casements, with the bay window featuring central arched lights. Additionally, there is another verandah and a gabled bay at the rear, along with a single-storey canted bay window on the right side.
