Description

The Old Garden Centre is a house, now divided into two dwellings, dating to the 17th and early 18th centuries. The right-hand bay was rebuilt in the mid-18th century. The right bay retains a timber frame with brick infill, painted in a colourwash. The left bay is constructed of colourwashed brick, with a decorative band course on its first floor. The roof is tiled, and the chimneys have been removed. The building has two storeys and two bays. Windows are 20th-century wooden casements with single horizontal glazing bars. A 20th-century half-glazed door is located to the left of the right bay. A lower brick extension, also colourwashed, with an off-set eaves line and tiled roof, extends to the right. This extension has a single window with a segmental head and a 20th-century door to the left. A modern flat-roofed extension is located at the far end of the building.
