Description
Rosemary Cottage is a house dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The right side of the building is timber framed and clad in rubblestone and brick, while the left side is made of witchert, which is colourwashed and roughcast, dating from the 18th century. The cottage has a thatched roof and consists of two bays and two storeys. There is an off-centre door, with two modern three-light leaded casements on the ground floor and a three-light casement on the first floor to the right. Above and to the left of the door, there is a two-light eaves-breaking dormer. The stone part on the right features a decorative brick band and a blocked window recess on the first floor. A left gable stack is located to the right of the centre door. The southwest end of the rear elevation shows exposed timber framing, while the rest has a thatched outshot. Inside, the cottage has chamfered and stopped spine beams, and the interior of the right bay showcases full exposed timber framing with straight purlin and tie-beam braces.
