Description

The pergola, located 140 metres to the west of The Aviary in Waddesdon Manor grounds, was built around 1890. It features metal wire mesh and decorative scroll work. The structure is circular with a dome that is supported by eight piers, each topped with a flower basket. Between the piers are cusped ogee arches, which have intersecting roundels in the spandrels. The dome is topped with a domed finial that includes wrought iron scroll work and a gilt bird. This pergola is included in the listing for its group value.
